What methods of payment can I use?
Payments can be made via major credit cards through the Paypal system. Other methods of payment (i.e. debit card, bank account, Paypal account) may be possible. Please check the details in the Paypal system.
Please note that bookings cannot be accepted without payment through the Paypal system. I.e. you cannot pay by cash on the day of the program.
The booking will be completed once the payment has been processed.
Is a child rate available?
No. No child rate is applicable.
Age restriction may be applicable in some programs. Please check the details in the notes of each program.
Are there any language programs other than English?
We offer only English programs at the moment.
Is there any difference between the Japanese programs and the English programs?
Yes. Every program booked though the English site is conducted in English and targeted for foreign tourists, while every program booked through the Japanese site is conducted in Japanese.
Please note the cancellation policy may be different from the English site to the Japanese site.
Is there any cancellation fee?
Yes. The cancellation fees defer depending on the cases/experience programs.
The cancellation fees are shown on the program pages.
If you cancel your booking after [Japanese Culture.JP]has decided to conduct the program, the cancellation fee is 100% of the program fee.
The cancellation fee will be calculated on the standard fee although the confirmed fee may be different due to discounts.
If you cancel your booking, 500 yen will be charged as a handling fee per booking. If the number of applicants for the program does not meet the minimum required number of participants, the program will be canceled, in this case we will refund you the full amount of the program fee. Please note that the amount of refund will change depending on currency fluctuations.
How can I cancel my booking?

Can I book and cancel a tour by phone or email?
You can book and cancel a tour only online.
Can I increase/decrease the number of participants?
You need to make a new booking for a new applicant.
To decrease the number of applicants, you need to login to [confirmation of booking /cancellation] and cancel the booking for the relevant applicants.
It is said the program fees may differ according to the number of participants. Does it mean you offer a group discount?
We do not offer a group discount though we offer discounts in some programs if we have a large number of participants. In some programs discounts are available depending on the total number of applicants. You need to pay the standard fee when you book then after we close the booking, discounts may be applicable in some programs. We will refund you the discount after the program is conducted.
How can l get a refund?
Refund will be processed via Paypal system. Please allow 30 days for the refund process.
Why should I pay in advance?
Schools need to arrange interpreters to welcome tourists.
We understand customers prefer to pay at the day of the program, but the school may suffer a loss in case of cancellation without notice.
So we ask you to pay a deposit or full amount in advance.
Are pick-up services included in the program fee?
No. Pick-up services are not included. Please organize your own transportation to the meeting place.
Are there any additional charges in addition to the program fee?
No. All prices include tax and other fees.
What happens if the minimum number of participants for a program has not been met?
When the minimum number of participants has not been met, the program will not be conducted.
We will inform you 3 days in advance whether the program will be conducted or not.

I am unable to check my email 3 days prior or fewer to the day of the program. How can l know whether the program is to be conducted or not?
At the time of booking, a PC email address must be entered. Additionally a mobile phone email address can be entered. Notices will also be sent to the mobile phone email address, too.
If you are unable to check neither your PC email account nor mobile phone email account, please check [confirmation of booking /cancellation] by using an Internet café, etc.
Where do you offer experience programs in Japan?
At this moment we offer the programs only in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Are dates and times given in the Japan standard time?
The time of this site is the Japan standard time. We will decide whether the tour is conducted or not 3 days prior to the day of the program. Please refer to the explanation table below.
For example: If you book a program on January 5, the tour operation and the program fee will be decided at 0:00a.m. January 2.

I forgot my password to log into [confirmation of booking /cancellation]. What do I do?
Please send an email to [confirmation of booking /cancellation]. Include the flowing: ①the name of the representative of your booking ②the email address you entered when you booked the program ③the name and the date of the program or the confirmation number. Japanese Culture.jp will email your login information to the email address you entered when you booked the program.
